AI Professional Development for Teachers
Teachers don’t need another session about AI. They need time to use it on the work already on their desks. In CapAIable’s hands-on staff PD, teachers bring a real task and leave with it done.
No sit-and-get
Every session follows the same model: learn, do, apply. Staff see a short demonstration, then practice on their own real work: a family email, a lesson resource, a set of discussion questions. They leave with finished work and tools they keep.
Here’s what that looks like in practice. With one of our “Rescue Pages,” a staff member takes last week’s notes on a bus route change, uses a ready-made prompt to draft a warm, clear family email in English and Spanish at a 6th-grade reading level, and then checks it before sending: facts confirmed, no student names. That’s about 25 minutes back on a single task.
Built for every level of comfort
Sessions are differentiated for beginners through power users. No prior AI experience is assumed. We start from where teachers actually are, and the same session works for the skeptic and the early adopter in the same room.
What teachers walk away with
Finished work on a real task they brought with them
Ready-to-use prompts for everyday teaching work
One-page “Rescue Pages” for common tasks
Decision guides for when AI helps and when it doesn’t
Our one-page data rule, so every staff member knows what’s safe to share
Responsible use is built in
Humans stay in charge: AI drafts, people decide, and every workflow includes a check step. Our guidance is FERPA-aware, with vendor questions built in. And unlike free vendor training, which teaches one company’s tools, we teach educators to use AI responsibly across tools, tied to your district’s own policy and classroom goals.
Session format
Half-day or full-day sessions, delivered on site. Live virtual sessions are also available. Our sessions are designed to qualify for professional development credit. We provide certificates, agendas, and learning objectives so your district can award hours through its own approval process.
Who you’ll work with
CapAIable was founded by former school leaders, not a software company. Kristi Costellow and Luma Mufleh bring 40 years of combined school leadership experience, so sessions are built around real school days.
